POST Fellowship Success
Earlier this year, PhD student Sophie Mountcastle completed a three-month Fellowship at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. She was tasked with preparing a research briefing for MPs on the topic of Food Fraud – a world apart from her PhD research in the School of Dentistry. The Fellowship involved researching, interviewing experts, writing, and reviewing a four-page summary that was accessible to those without a science and technology background. This underlines the research strengths ofDentistry at the University of Birmingham and its strong interdisciplinary science interactions.
